ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Blackmago is a peruvian artist from Lima where he grew up and resides. Self-taught, he's taking inspiration from the meanders of life, the encounters of friends and the dreams our inner-child is ever keeping alive. Through a multi-disciplinarian approach, ranging from gouache and watercolor painting to clay sculpture, his art explores a whimsical and sensitive universe crowded with stunning creatures: from cute to strange, from dark to bright, from shadows to lights. With a stunning detailed naiveness and an amazing mastering of movement and textures, Blackmago's work seems to be made to talk to a child's imagination but speaks to any adult as well. Since 2005, he's been an active member of the DeviantART community which has publicized his work to the art community.
